and that this was kind of negative this larger story of america that is resegregating ways. well you know i have conflicting thoughts about that i think. the struggle. for democratic rights the right for people to choose. to not be barred from doing things i don't have an inherent problem if asians feel more comfortable with asians or or. black with blacks in fact sometimes i just don't see it as a mark or an indicator there resegregating so how is that resegregating it's a form of association that's voluntary. or a segregation was involved and that was imposed the difficulty is i always believe that there must be spaces for interaction of all people because at the end of the day a more perfect union in this country a more expansive multicultural multiethnic multi-racial multi-religious democracy means that there have to be spaces in places where this public education whether it's where people can in fact interact with each other get to know each other and how do we create this well i don't you know it's i think obviously in the schools and having diversity in the workplace
